The House just passed a federal shield law for journalists by a huge margin. I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been more debate over how broadly "journalism" is defined: "the regular gathering, preparing, collecting, photographing, recording, writing, editing, reporting, or publishing of news or information that concerns local, national, or international events or other matters of public interest for dissemination to the public."
