Ed Felten critiques the argument that Sen. Ted "my staff sent me an Internet" Stevens wishes he had made. (I agree with Felten. I've said all along -- in my own head -- that, replace "tubes" with "pipes," and Stevens's metaphor-laden speech is far from the most ignorant understanding of the Internet one hears in Congress. Still it's funny to hear him mutter "tubes!" like he's a real life Mr. Burns.)
