As of tomorrow morning, I'll officially be on vacation for the next ten days. Jane and I will be exploring the wilds of the great state of Maine and then be popping over to visit with family in Cape Cod for a bit. I am super excited about getting off the grid for such a nice length of time. I'm very much looking forward to reconnecting with nature, having conversations with Jane that don't revolve around the bar exam, reading some good books, and, hopefully, taking some great pictures.
But you know what's nice? I'm also totally jazzed about coming back the week after next, rested and ready to get back to work. This is a remarkably interesting time in the United States and in the world at large. Change is afoot, and much of it is fascinating. I'm incredibly lucky that my work gives me the chance to learn about and write about a great deal of it. So, in what is a very nice feeling to have, I'm actually looking forward to returning from our trip. All that said, I'd be fibbing if I said that I don't have a deep affection for, on occasion, doing some serious relaxing. So with that, later!
